Kick It Down The Stairs

on September 20, 2017
Very few of us are prepared to take $ 600 in cash and throw it into a bonfire. Even if it is someone else's money, and there is a bag of marshmallows handy, there is a natural human tendency to grasp those bills tightly. But we'll spend that much money - and more - on PocketWizard radio triggers for our flash systems...and take them out in the field...and throw them around like they were bits of wood. Particularly when packing up after a hard night. It is a tribute to the sturdy construction of the PocketWizard gear that it can stand this sort of thing and work next time. PocketWizard know their customers, and have come out with three or four good ideas to help them become better people. At least to save the PW gear from the worst of the mis-handling. Here are three dedicated padded containers for the radio triggers and transceivers; G-Wiz Vault, G-Wiz Squared, and G-Wiz Trunk. The different shapes accomodate different amounts of PW equipment and you can shift the internal dividers to suit new acquisitions. Also tried the G-Wiz Vault packing a mirror-less camera, pancake lens, and full-size flash. Worked a treat. I'd hesitate to trust it inside a suitcase being loaded aboard a Ruffasguts Airlines plane by the average baggage handler but that is going to be the subject of an entirely separate report. If you are going to carry your event or studio flash gear in the back of the car, these would be absolutely perfect. I vote for the orange one because you can find it when it is dark and you are tired.
