Hear Hear! The German Sennheiser firm has now arrived at 75 years producing very high-quality microphones, headphones, and other audio accessories. To celebrate a real milestone for consumers, they are promoting their HD280 PRO headphones at a considerable discount. It looks as though they will be selling out ( and probably fast, too ) for some $ 30 under normal retail price from $169 to $139. The HD 280 PRO is designed for DJ work as well as standard home audio enjoyment. The DJ's need a very comfortable set of soft ear cushions that completely cover the ears and attenuate external sounds to a high degree. Parents with teenagers will also appreciate this idea... Note: I use a set of Sennheisers in our house. They are frighteningly accurate - when I listen to YouTube conferences streamed from the UK I can hear the presenter's chair as it rumbles over a protective rubber mat in his studio - it sounds like a tank going by. I've also been annoyed by crickets inside my living room only to discover they are actually in that same studio in Devon. So the cans are really good - the fact that I have not destroyed them in 3 years means they are also tough. This promotion ends at the end of May, so order on line or ( carefully ) visit the store.
